The project, which started around September 2015, has materialised into a digital book, which would be available for free download on UitesCreate.org as from Saturday.
Dr. Olayinka Egbokhare, the Author of Dazzling Mirage which was adapted into a blockbuster movie by Tunde Kelani, wrote the foreword of the book.
She wrote: ”The journey took me like in a swirl through curves and crevices, and streets broad and narrow and left me richer than when the journey began.
“It is refreshing to see intending Pharmacists, Doctors, Engineers and other scientists become word -smiths who succeeded in breathing fresh air into this favourite pastime of many sages.”
The UitesCreate platform was founded by Dolapo Amusat, a final-year
student of Electrical Engineering, and Habeeb Kolade, a graduate of

They have several other exciting projects lined up on UitesCreate.

Veteran Actor, Pete Edochie Reacts Angrily To Social Media Impersonators
Veteran actor, Pete Edochie, is angry at social media impersonators
who reportedly used his name to activate social media accounts and
ascribe invented comments to him.
He stated the number of instances where misinformed and malicious
statements were attributed to him, including rumours that his son died
on a movie set.
“Right now, I’m watching football in my house, but as I speak to you, some people are posting on Facebook or Twitter, using my name and picture.” He said
“It’s either they are talking about politics, state of the nation, ascribing series of proverbs to me or using my name to counsel people about marriage.”
“Someone asked me how I had time to put plenty proverbs on Facebook. I told the person I wasn’t responsible for them and that I didn’t even have a Facebook account, and she couldn’t believe it.”
“Some people said I sat with Mourinho in one of the profile pictures and that I was telling him the gods were angry with him. Then, they posted another one that Buhari came to consult with me in my shrine.”
“From time to time, you would hear or read that Pete Edochie died in London or on location. In our culture, if people wish you dead, you’d attend the person’s funeral.”
“I’m satisfied with what life has given me. I don’t envy anybody and I don’t want to be anybody. I just want to be left alone as Pete Edochie.”
Other stories attributed to Edochie included having misunderstanding with Nigeria’s Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu, who he claimed has no ties with him.
According to the actor, he has never been involved in politics, so comments linking him to Ekweremadu came as a shocking surprise.
“Somebody woke me up a few days ago and pointed my attention to what was written in my name about (Senator Ike) Ekweremadu.”
“I was surprised. I don’t know him neither do I have any issue with him. Again, few days ago, it was also posted that Federal Government needed me for something. All the nonsense people write about me, I’m not happy about it.”
“I’m not a politician, and I am not the only actor in this country. Throughout the campaign during the last general election, I didn’t campaign for anybody, yet on the social media you see people using my name to express support for one candidate or the other.”
The “Narrow Escape” actor is also not impressed about the fact that those who use his name to perpetrate the act of impersonation have poor grammar skills.
“I speak very good English, and those posting those things in my name write in the way I can never write. That is the saving grace.”
“Just recently, someone informed me that he saw somewhere in my name that I wrote on one of these platforms that people should come and pay N50,000, as according to them, I was organising a programme. What programme?”
The actor has quite a list of experiences related to such cases and has revealed his dissatisfaction concerning them.

ASUU Okays Admission Screening In Varsities
The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) on Friday disclosed that the union has agreed and satisfied with the ongoing admission screening process in some universities across the country.
The National President of ASUU, Professor Biodun Ogunyemi, made this known while speaking with the News Agency in Lagos.
He said, ”I want to say that so far, we are satisfied with the screening procedure. We cannot be in all the institutions at a time, but reports reaching us and from our observations, the universities are on the right track.
“You see, no dictation from outside the universities can stop the institutions’ from doing this screening. It is part of the procedures spelt out by the Senate of the various universities for admission of candidates.
“Government can only provide guidelines such as quota for the academically less-advantaged areas, but the issue of merit is strictly for the universities to determine.’’
Ogunyemi, however, urged the universities not to lose focus in ensuring that only qualified candidates were admitted into the respective programmes in the institutions. Adding that the screening will raise the quality of undergraduates which will transform to quality graduates. Thanks for reading.
Pope Francis Visits Ex-Nigerian Prostitutes. STRANGE!!!
Pope Francis of the Roman Catholic Church on Friday payed a surprise visit seven former Nigerian prostitutes who were rescued from forced prostitution. Also visited by the Pope were 20 former prostitutes from different countries. Apart from the Nigerians, six are from Romania, four from Albania, and the rest from Tunisia, Italy and Ukraine. Pope Francis described human trafficking as “a crime against humanity”, as he sat with the women for over an hour, listening to their stories.
