Two Schoolgirls Abducted In Lagos
Two schoolgirls Jumia Badmos and Ayomide Badmos have been abducted in Lagos. Six-year-old Jumia and four-year-old Ayomide were abducted on Tuesday on Olorunfemi Street, Igando when they were returning home from summer school. The mother of the girls, who lost her husband about three years ago, lives with a friend on the same street and sells boiled corn. A popular daily gathered that the victims were returning from summer school when they stopped by at a junction near their mother’s shop to play. A neighbour narrated to the daily: “The incident happened around 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday when the girls closed from the summer school at 12:00 p.m. The girls and other school children usually walk in groups. Ayo, the younger sister, on their way back home stopped at a junction close to their mother’s shop. ”Other children passed by and when those ones got to their mother, she asked them where her girls were and they told her they left them at a junction. But when she got to the junction, she could not find them.” Another resident, “Jumia and Ayo are popular kids on the street. After the incident, someone hinted the police that he saw a barber carrying one of the girls and holding the other at the same time.” While confirming the reports, the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Dolapo Badmos said, “It is a case of abduction. The barber cunningly took the kids away under the guise of buying them biscuits. We are working on,” she said. It was later discovered that the girls have been rescued, “We have rescued the girls,” she added. Thanks for reading.
