Nigeria's Governors forum to Review executed projects in four states

Some members of the House of Representatives on Sunday asked their colleagues to stop interfering with the crisis in the Senate involving Senator Kabiru Marafa and his colleagues.
The House members noted that the Senate and the House were independent arms of the National Assembly, each having its internal rules.
They said this implied that none of the arms should not meddle in the internal affairs of the other since they could individually resolve any internal crisis without seeking outside help.
Marafa had lately accused the leadership of the Senate under Senator Bukola Saraki of using the distortions in the 2016 budget as an opportunity to settle political scores.
But, last week, a group of House members, including the Chairman, House Committee on Basic Education, Mr. Zakari Mohammed, cautioned Marafa to be mindful of his choice of words.
The members had claimed that Marafa was disparaging the institution of the legislature with his utterances.
However, on Sunday, 15 members of the House replied the Mohammed group, saying that the latter should steer clear of the crisis in the Senate.
The 15 members are John Dyegh, Hon Lawal Yahaya-Gumau, Ahmad Babba-Kaita, Agunsoye Rotimi, Ali Madaki and Aminu Malle.
The list also had Nazir Zango-Daura, Muhammed Soba, Ismail Gadaka, Abdulrahman Shuaibu, Sunday Adepoju, Adekunle Akinlade, Musa Sarki-Adar, Ajibola Famurewa and Abdulmamud Gaiya.
Besides, they observed that as a Nigerian, Marafa was covered by the right to free speech guaranteed under Chapter 4 of the 1999 Constitution (as amended).
“It must be made clear to the legislators who are mostly new members that the two Houses of the National Assembly are independent and separate arms.
“By getting involved in the internal crisis of the Senate shows them to be interlopers”, part of a statement the 15 members issued in Abuja, read. Thanks for reading

Bayelsa, going down the drain says Dickson

Seriake Dickson, Bayelsa state governor has lamented the poor financial position of the state, stating that it was becoming increasingly difficult for the government to meet its financial obligations.
Dickson made this known on Friday at during the inauguration of three new special advisers. He said that the state got N2.9 billion from the federation account in February.
“I have not seen anything like what has just been reported to me by the finance team. For this month, what has come into our state is N2.9 billion; it has never been this bad.
“Meanwhile, our salary obligation for civil servants alone, is about N4 billion, so you can see where we are, as a state.
Four years ago, when this government started, the first allocation we received was about N16 billion. At some point, it climbed to N18 and even N19 billion.
“That was why we put all your resources in most of these ambitious projects that a number of them, including the Ogobiri bridge, first flyover and several roads have been completed.”
Appealing for understanding from the people, particularly the workers, Dickson said the state government would be compelled to take hard decisions after due consultations with stakeholders. Thanks for reading

Theives regrets stealing from OAU students

So it all went down at ETF (Education Trust Fund) hall on Saturday morning, some guy at ETF was in the reading room and suddenly he realised that his laptop was missing! He raised alarm. Then, a few minutes after, one of the cleaners couldn’t find her phone! Concerned and vigilant students immediately surrounded the perimeters and ta-dah! The thief was caught! Trust OAU students, they immediately bundled him.

The thief identified himself as Tope Ogunnusi. Following his confession to the student union security, it was discovered that he was not working alone and that it was a tag team with one Ogbe Okojie who was consequently nabbed.
Do you know the annoying part? Neither of them is an OAU student! In fact, they came all the way from Benin city to OAU to steal. I hear that Okojie started the job first, after he had succeeded in stealing some items, he then gave a call to the other guy. So they started the mission last week Monday with Tope working at ETF hall and Okogie working at Fajuyi hall. You know, division of labour and all.
Okojie was correct about the market because they confessed to have stolen 14 laptops , 25 Nokia phones, 16 Infinix phones, 11 Blackberry phones, 10 Samsung phones and many more items in one week! *Hands on head* *mouth open*. Some of the stolen items have been retrieved and returned to their owners but, the thieves said they had already sold the others to some retailers in Akure, Ondo state.

Anyhow sha, OAU is the worst campus for thieves as Tope and Okogie soon discovered. They were beaten like animals. As in, the thing about beating thieves in OAU is that everybody contributes. Some people who lost their items weeks or months ago will just transfer aggression on your thievery-infected head.

The thieves, Ogbe Okojie and Tope Ogunnusi after being beaten by angry students
It was bad, they were stripped off their clothes and paraded on the streets. If you were there, you would have pitied them.
Anywayzs, thou can steal, but, for your own good, not in OAU! Thanks for reading
